@mazeincoding Seems entirely reasonable to me. Being different just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
There’s long established accepted rules for grammar for a reason,- they work. Change does happen, and is welcomed. But, rarely does drastic change ease the transition.

@SUBWAY have introduced those infernal self order screens. SO much slower, much less options, and completely destroys any interaction with the staff
Customer service takes a dip…..and I can’t see anyone happy here about it.

Seriously. This a thing? America is in a mess

I’m in Italy for a few days and am getting normal work calls from the UK on my mobile. Nothing wrong with that. But, the phone numbers incoming are showing as Italian, when they are most definitely colleagues in the UK on the other end of the call.
What’s causing this? And, how can I stop it?’

@HotelChocolat And. an excuse for me to eat it. Will buy some more for the in-laws that they were intended for! (Unless you really want to help out and send it!)
English

@ImSteveMitchell We're sorry to hear that your order has arrived melted and apologise for any disappointment this may have caused. So that we can assist you further, please could you kindly send us a DM with the photo? Many thanks, Abbie@ChocolatHQ

@HotelChocolat oh no! Not sure this is how they’re meant to come, is it?! Chocolate melts even on mild British days, apparently!

And so, just like that, a few days away has come to a close
First time in Monaco, and yes it matched some of the stereotypes:
💵 Yes, it is ludicrously expensive.
🏎️ Yes, it’s a bit of a mess as they’re setting up the barriers and course for the Grand Prix.
🏨 Yes, staying at the Fairmont meant we got to see the hairpin corner and the tunnel on both sides of the hotel.
But also, it was really nice to see a place cared for, with working facilities and communal spaces. The tennis (the reason for being here) was good,- Carlos Alcaraz really is a bit of a decent player 🎾, and the food throughout was epic.
Always good to step away, however shortly, from the day to day. Gives a sense of perspective, and helps solidify the mind on what you want to achieve when you get back

👀 Something new (and exciting) is on the way…
If you lead, manage, or drive change in schools or trusts — this is for you.
We’ve been building something with your role in mind.
It’s practical. It’s relevant. And it’s shaped by people who’ve walked in your shoes.
Right now, I’m looking to connect with passionate professionals who bring deep sector experience in:
📌 School/trust leadership
📌 HR
📌 Finance
📌 Governance
📌 Safeguarding
If you’ve got insights to share and want to be part of something built for the sector, by the sector — I’d love to hear from you.

Passion is a word that gets thrown around a lot.
It’s on job descriptions. In mission statements. In speeches.
But here’s the thing: passion isn’t a slogan. It’s not a corporate buzzword. It’s the fire that keeps you going when the easy thing would be to walk away.
The Reality of Passion
Passion isn’t about grand gestures. It’s about showing up, every day, even when it’s hard.
It’s the school business leader who fights for funding because they know what’s at stake.
It’s the HR officer who spends an extra hour finding the right candidate, because they believe schools deserve the best.
It’s the headteacher who keeps going, even when the numbers don’t add up, because they know every child’s future depends on it.
Passion isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quiet. It’s resilience. It’s commitment. It’s the thing that stops you from saying, “That’ll do,” when you know it won’t.
Why It Matters More Than Ever
Right now, education is tough. Budgets are tight. Pressures are growing. The system is asking people to do more with less.
That’s when passion matters most. Because it’s easy to care when things are going well. The real test is when they’re not.
And this is why, at Keystone Knowledge, passion is at the heart of what we do. It’s not just about expertise. It’s about care.
It’s about believing that schools and trusts deserve the best support. It’s about knowing that every decision, every piece of advice, every action we take has a real impact.
Passion isn’t just a word. It’s the work.
How do you bring passion to your workplace?
