RapidTO is already causing havoc on Dufferin as cars remain backed up while the red bus-only lane remains barren. With so many cars sitting idle, carbon emissions will surely increase to the horror of environmentalist councillor @DianneSaxe who championed the RapidTO plan. A truly ironic twist of fate for Toronto’s resident climate activist. What do you think?

lmao this rules, @TinaYazdani I was not familiar with your game

Toronto’s NIMBYs live on another planet than the rest of us. This woman lives in Trinity-Bellwoods, one of the most popular neighbourhoods in the entire country specifically because of its vibrant small businesses and mixed urbanism. Most normal people can only dream of living in this expensive neighbourhood. 90% of people react to the best slice of pizza in the city opening around the corner from them with a “this is awesome”. But not this crank! Yet, Toronto Councillors decided to cater to the handful of miserable voices who look at local success and say “you know what, this sucks actually, we should have less of it”.

Met with small business owners to hear about how RapidTO could impact local businesses, parking, and daily life along Bathurst. Decisions about our neighbourhoods are being made by bureaucrats who don’t live in Toronto and by an ideological council that’s out of touch with reality. We should be listening to the residents who actually know their communities best. If we want to tackle congestion and keep our neighbourhoods vibrant and accessible, we need real-world solutions shaped by local voices. 🤝

(1/7) We are disappointed that City Staff have backed away from recommending RapidTO dedicated transit lanes on Bathurst and Dufferin north of Bloor. These routes—especially Dufferin—have been held up as a cornerstone commitment by this City Council to prioritize transit riders.
