@KatyKatopodis I've always wondered if these vehicles have an authority to drive over the speed limit, they're always driving at high as if there's someone dying in car. Siphepha zona everyday, they flickering at as if they've a right to speed.

If you are building a mansion for your retirement in the villages, make sure your kids also want to stay there too should you die, cause some houses there are becoming mice and rats territory after the parents die, the kids are no longer interested in staying there. 😭 Ke matokong.

Worshipping at the Methodist Church used to be a deeply moving spiritually charged experience. The singing of the hymns accompanied with an ‘occasional’ percussive tapping of the hymn books carried extraordinary weight that settled the spirit rather than trying to excite it. Hayi ke then entered the introduction of constant bell ringing, clinked and shaken through almost every hymn along with that jarring, “duntsu-duntsu” dancing. All of which have altered the entire atmosphere of worship. What was once measured and reflective now feels restless, even abrasive at times. Uvele uxakeke ingathi use ntlombeni. I am told some Anglican and Catholic perishes have developed these nasty tendencies too. Khanitsho maWesile amahle ezi ntsimbi, nokuku dlwabhuzela bo duntsu-duntsu, yimikhuba evalaphi na le? Please be kind. I’m an orphan. PS. I’m inclined to believe you folk are just addicted to disorder and chaos and you would go to amazing lengths to turn every orderly space into a circus.

@Enghumbhini @Simz_Ntlemeza @News24 Emswaneni is not necessarily in the kraal. It just indicates the location where they were spread because not all stomach contents (umswane) are spread in the kraal. In fact it’s more common to spread it outside the kraal, and this is where the other cattle will gather to “mourn.”

“Emswaneni" is a Xhosa term for a place in the kraal where the stomach contents of a slaughtered animal are spread resulting in cattle gathering around it to mourn. With this Last Post, I too come to the kraal, ukuzogcwala emswaneni. news24.com/opinions/colum… via @news24

There is a reason why abantu live by the principle of ubuntu. We are a people that appreciates community and togetherness, we believe that umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu. This desire to be inkomo edla yodwa stems from being consumed by western customs and traditions. Black people need to fight this urge of wanting to align to western traditions more, there is nothing wrong with the community showing you support at a time of grief. The community itself may feel the loss of that person. So yes, grief is personal and it is not only felt by the family. Friends, neighbours, congregants and colleagues that loved that particular person also feel the grief.
La-Ndlovu@destiny_ndlovu

Unpopular opinion: Funerals aren’t community events. They should be for family only. Grief is personal. Not everything needs to be public.
