The film was bought by Focus Features for $14M. That was the sale. Their financial responsibility ends there. If anyone should provide a bonus to the crew, it is the recipient of that sale. Even still, they have no legal obligation beyond what was in each crew member’s contract.

Most Backrooms critiques so far have been that it lacks characterization and pace issues which is honestly fine. We here to see some slow paced atmospheric dread, not a character driven drama
