Giant lizards demand maximum commitment. If we don't want legal regulation, we must ensure world-class care through self-discipline and standards. Poor husbandry and trophy collectors compromises animal dignity and risks the future of #reptile keeping.

Tune in tomorrow, May 23rd, at 7pm EST to hear the story of how the largest sea cows to ever exist were ruthlessly annihilated in a mere 27 years. We will post both on YouTube & right here on X! @TheVanishingWild" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@TheVanishingW

@SalamanderTrav There is a population of two lined salamanders and dusky (D. fuscus) salamanders in eastern Michigan. To my knowledge, it's still contested whether they are invasive or native.

Hey #AmphibianTwitter, Are there any examples of invasive salamander species outside of the barred tiger salamander? A quick google search did not reveal much.

This 𝘓𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘢 𝘳𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘢 from #UMMZ @UmichEEB has 14 pearly whites in her! Even a basic threshold of the skeletal CT scan highlights the various stages of calcification, shapes, and impressive clutch size of the eggs in this female.
