More Liverpool players need to raise their game as Dominik Szoboszlai does week in, week out. And Arne Slot needs to believe in Rio Ngumoha more; final ball needs a bit of work but he’s a threat. Sources say they are incandescent that they were not told. The clear implication is that the permanent under secretary at the foreign office Olly Robbins over-ruled the vetting recommendation and never told ministers. If that is right, and no official is denying that, it is impossible to see how he keeps his job
