One of the most epic martial arts showdowns in movie history has to be Bruce Lee (as Tang Lung) vs. Chuck Norris (as Colt) in The Way of the Dragon (1972, also known as Return of the Dragon). That final fight in the Colosseum is pure legend, raw, intense, and full of mutual respect. No cheesy dialogue, just two absolute masters going at it, East vs. West, speed vs. raw power, and neither one comes off as the bad guy. What always gets me is the ending: after the fight, Bruce Lee's character quietly covers Chuck's fallen one with his own jacket as a sign of deep respect. It's such a powerful, honorable moment that says so much without words. Rest in peace, Chuck Norris. Your legacy will live on forever, through every roundhouse kick, every meme, and every time someone quotes that fight scene. You were one of a kind. 🥋💔

Maybe it’s just my old curmudgeon bladder talking, but I didn’t watch the Oscars and can’t recall last time I sat through any award show. At my age, if I’m parking myself for three hours, it better involve a recliner and a bathroom nearby. Why waste the time when streaming lets you see the worst parts on YT five minutes later? Opening monologue rolls out the usual “frightening times” sermon and tired political jabs. Crowd claps like they just heard fresh comedy. Then winners grab the mic and turn a gold statue into a lecture on wars, elections, and support for every country but the U.S.A. Used to be glamour. Movie magic. Stars thanking God. their mama and getting off stage. Now it’s millionaires scolding the same folks who bought the tickets. Hollywood wonders why nobody watches. They didn’t lose the audience. Sorry to hear this news. I'm lifting you two up in prayer and virtual laying hands on Stephanie: You see Stephanie and this new surgery ahead. Strengthen her body. Guide the surgeons to remove every remaining precancerous cell. Give her peace instead of fear and a smoother recovery this time. “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). Hold Gunny steady as he cares for her. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Sadly, the doctor told Stephanie that the "other cells" that they took out during the lumpictomy were precancer. So, they have to operate again to take more out. I sure wish they had gotten them all the first time because surgery was tough on her. Please pray for her!
