Big cryptos plan is to freeze assets via a fork for every single legacy wallet. The insanity that awaits crypto is going to be legendary. I wouldn’t be surprised if dev teams get sued or forced to provide access to wallets that had assets frozen to the people with the private key. Which renders the fork and freeze pointless as then anyone with PQ access can just claim they had the PK. Smart contracts will be affected which means tokens NFTs and so on. Good luck with that. Property rights apparently may mean absolutely nothing for what should be decentralized. Viat will avoid all of that chaos by automatically protecting legacy wallets and still ensuring access via the PQ trapdoor. Effectively making every wallet PQ multisig without storing massive amounts of PQ public key data until the trapdoor is activated and the PQ credentials are required for a transfer of assets.
