Eight weeks of vibe coding. 1050+ commits. 10 projects shipped. Websites, bots, cloud deploys, the whole circle. And at one point I just sat there staring at my screen thinking now what? Nobody really talks about AI fatigue. Everyone is posting what they built. Nobody is asking why they built it. AI made building almost free. The real difficulty flipped. It’s not Can I build this?anymore. It’s Should I build this? The moat is no longer code. The moat is direction. Knowing what is actually worth building. And knowing when to close the laptop. For the last two weeks I’ve been working on a game. That feels different. A game never really ends. You can add mechanics forever, systems forever, layers forever. That’s the first time in months I didn’t ask myself what I was building it for. Most people will burn out. Most people will stop. Most people will get overwhelmed. The ones who survive this wave won’t be the fastest builders. They’ll be the ones who knew what to build in the first place.
