From @AlmaHarris1 at #WorldEdSummit - There have been a lot of reforms and little change. Would there be more change if we stayed committed and focused on one thing versus jumping around and buying new things? Change takes time.

The magic word "if"...it'd be so interesting to see how administrators (e.g., principal, curriculum specialist, asst. supt.) plan meetings that follow/use similar templates to model.
Pati Montgomery@SchoolsCubedLLC

@DarylAMichel @HeidiHayesJacob If used and understood correctly, lesson plan templates are a wonderful help for teachers in a world where reading programs can be overwhelming. Templates are not the templates of years gone by.

I couldn't agree more @HeidiHayesJacob with your writing about lesson plan templates and what some administrators expect (e.g., it's seen as a bureaucratic endeavor, written and submitted for compliance and not written for students).

Spent a few days visiting a district that was last in state for reading. Now, they're at/near the top. We brought people from NY, CA, Mizzou, Ga, and NM to see it. Poverty, English Learners, Diverse- it can be done. Ignore the naysayers. Leadership, coaching, curriculum, culture.

@Literacy4SBISD Or worse yet, the child is placed on the diving board and told to swim to the other end.

Help a reporter: I'm familiar with the grassroots teacher movement that gathers here on X to discuss the science of learning. Is there a similar thing happening with principals? Why or why not? Thanks!

@RplusDyslexia @CatherineCook58 @ErinCKing @MrKWisconsin Changing literacy practices should not be on the backs of teachers or principals. Schools need help learning how to implement SoR. It's as critical as professional development. We shouldn't be guessing about how to get this done. Students are counting on us!!!

I didn’t wake up one day and decide that I was going to move from balanced to structured literacy. Simply put, it was because of my district’s decision to partner with @SchoolsCubedLLC. Pati and her team immediately made an impact on our staff and students. 1/

ERPA was proud to advise Senator Muth in the creation of this grant and even more proud of the work that districts like @NorristownASD are doing with @SchoolsCubedLLC to implement evidence aligned literacy systems so that all of their students become proficient readers and writers. Thank you to the teachers and administrators doing the hard work!! Deep professional knowledge building + Strong MTSS systems with data-based decision making + High quality foundational skills and knowledge building curricula Lead to Student proficiency
Senator Katie Muth@SenatorMuth

I joined @SenCappelletti at Hancock Elem to witness the amazing work being done to implement structured literacy programming through @SchoolsCubedLLC. @NorristownASD is part of a #SD44 pilot program I funded using $3 million of ARPA funds to implement #scienceofreading programs
