@LanceMi85530671 David Pocock appears influenced by Canberra's political dynamics. While supporting certain policies, he receives backing from LNP on select issues. This dynamic permitted by Dutton, aligning Pocock with the LNP during election considerations. @DavidPocock

@RonniSalt Totally unfit. Given his statements since announcing they wouldn't pursue robodebt, it's in fact difficult to think that anyone less suitable could have been appointed.

Brereton & co decided very early on that they wouldn't pursue this - very early. They then spent the next 12 months waiting for the right time to drop the bomb and naively believed everyone would simply accept it and walk away Brereton is unfit to lead this organisation #NACC
stranger@strangerous10

The no of times those in a pos. to act at the #RobodebtRC insisted they didn’t “turn” their “mind” to doing their job was disgraceful. The fact NACC Commr Brereton now uses this excuse to justify why he didn’t do his job on Robodebt & hold any1 to account is extremely disturbing

Cool. So what was the point of all that then? HAFF delayed by months and months slowed down the construction of homes. Help to Buy delays have kept Australians out of their first homes. The Greens antics have made our housing crisis harder to address. Shame on them #auspol

NACC Commissioner Brereton concedes he made a “mistake” when NACC decided not to investigate Robodebt referrals but says the matter was not high enough a “priority” anyway. “If we investigated Robodebt, there would be other things that we would not be able to investigate”🤨

@strangerous10 It appears that the NACC investigation priority is which local cafe has the best muffins and coffee. Full staff resources are committed and the evidence is piling up but still not sufficient.

As Deputy Chief Minister Nicole Manison signed a secret gas purchase deal with Texan fracking corporate Tamboran, probably worth $ 100s of millions… if not more, even though the gas project wasn’t approved. Then walks straight into a job with them. amp.abc.net.au/article/104618…

@RonniSalt @jommy_tee If he didn't realise that he shouldn't take any part in discussions relevant to robodebt after "recusal", hr has no business being involved in the law, let alone the head of a corruption commission. I don't think anyone believes he was that incompetent that he wasn't aware.

More from @jommy_tee As pointed out by many of us (repeatedly) the fact that the Commissioner Paul Brereton sat in on and participated in discussions on Robodebt, discussions involving his close friend of over 30 years, was an appalling oversight and error of judgment. #NACC #Robodebt

So . . . the @NACCgovau is now reneging on its decision not to examine the #Robodebt referral. The NACC Inspector (the one you all wrote to) has pointed out errors in law in relation to the decisions the Commissioner & Dep Commissioner made. What a farce of an organisation. .

@YaThinkN I don't know why people think this is the end of the world. Its not as dramatic as the media makes out. For most people its simple. Less regulation = stronger economy. It's that simple. Young guys are in built to want to progress and build.
