Dear Prime-minister @IRuginiene and Colleagues at @LithuaniaMFA, Media has reported that Lithuania is considered revoking political asylym for Leonid Volkov following the publication of his email exchanges. Let me be straight - the words by @leonidvolkov, published by Anna Tiron, RDK's media representative, are certainly troubling. I personally think these comments are unwarranted, unfair, insulting, and really stupid. (MP @LKasciunas has aptly compared Volkov's words with Dmitry Medvedev's drunken rants; these words are in the same league.) That said, I hope that Lithuanian authorities would take into account that stupid and unwarranted words are still just words. Leonid Volkov is a real political refugee, sentenced to 18 years in absentia in Russia. For years, he has been a trusted aid to @navalny, who sacrificed his life fighting against Putin and, in his last months, against the criminal Russia-Ukraine war - and have done more than anyone, save for the brave Ukrainian defenders, to stop Putin. In my opinion, Leonid should not have said what he said, but this should be weighted against the evidence of his firm commitment to the anti-Putin and anti-war causes. Since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war and escalation of political repression in Russia, Lithuania has been stellar in supporting not only Ukranian defense, but also Russian opposition figures, journalists, artists, writers, etc. I have not seen a conscious Russian who would not have been very grateful to Lithuanians and the Lithuanian government for their support and protection. From a small nation that survived decades of the Russian imperial domination and control, it is especially heartening. In a short period of time, Lithuania has contributed more to preserving Russians than Russians had to preserve Lithuanians in a long time. I very much hope that this support will continue - until the peace comes, Ukraine is made whole, safe, and secure, and Russia is on its way to restoring normalcy. Thank you for your support, again and again.

На основании той новой информации, которая буквально потекла полноводной рекой в наши руки после вчерашней публикации, я лишь укрепляюсь в мысли, что @leonidvolkov есть агент влияния кремлёвских спецслужб. Вместо борьбы с режимом, Леонид последовательно ослабляет оппозицию, рушит любые (даже намечающиеся) альянсы и вбивает клинья между ФБК и всеми остальными оппозиционными силами; распространяет клевету и слухи; размывает и без того нестройный образ российской оппозиции. Все эти действия носят явно подрывной характер, ослабляют имидж антипутинского сопротивления и в целом идеально ложатся под описание деятельности такого рода разведчика, как агент влияния. И последнее. Основной задачей, задачей максимум для любого агента влияния, является, безусловно, перехват рычагов управления организацией, в которую он внедрён. Это означает, что агент выполнил свою задачу и вся организация становится подконтрольной воле вражеских спецслужб. У меня всё.
