Like now, people ask: how many followers would I lose if I spoke the truth? How many likes and shares would I gain if I painted people who look different from me as rapists, killers, and animals? And just like immigrants now, you have to make people hate them first. They’re “bringing crime,” “draining resources,” “they’re animals.” And before long, people start calling police and ICE on their own neighbors. They start cheering when they’re brutalized, locked up, or killed. They ask the government to cancel citizens for legal immigrants from Somalia and elsewhere. Just like it was done to the Jews, the population begins accusing them of being behind all the fraud, corruption, murders, and rapes. The public then supports throwing them into cages and inhumane prisons, sold as “solutions,” the way gas chambers were once sold as necessary. One day—just like with Hitler—they finally realize the so-called savior of the “pure race” was mentally unstable and a con artist. He ends his own life, but only after leading millions of innocent people to their deaths. And history doesn’t forgive the ones who cheered, stayed silent, or told themselves it could never happen here.
