My first and hoping to attend again in 2 years time. A very well organized and informative meeting which was never dull throughout. Definitely recommended for all involved with ventilation care including respiratory physicians.

@LarryNyanti Influenza screening was only "routinely" practice in some centers in Msia. Yes, you are right, during my training in SGP in 2017, all respiratory cases were screened without fail and the very sick ones from influenza may require ECMO.

Influenza cases are looking pretty bad lately. Here's one in a 30yo patient with zero comorbidities, who caught it from her sick child (who recovered well). COVID & TB workup negative

CT guided biopsy remains the popular choice because: 1. Availability of IR 2. Lower cost involved 3. Less complex with radiology approach 4. Lack of knowledge on peripheral airway mapping. 5. Lack of bronchoscopic devices for peripheral lung excess

What was used ? 1. One ultraslim bronchoscope 2. One ultraslim cryoprobe 3. One radial EBUS probe 4. One 1st generation fluoroscopy 5. Some fundamental knowledge on bronchial branch tracing

Bronchoscopic biopsy for periphery lung lesion remains unpopular in many countries. A patient underwent 5 CT guided biopsies for her lung lesion which all yield inconclusive results. Periphery bronchoscopy biopsy confirmed primary lung adenocarcinoma 🫁Sharing 👐🏻awareness

Colours are always attractive. What's more important is the meaning behind them EBUS-🌈 mediastinal biopsy for a patient who has failed other biopsy modalities ❌ pos: calcification, TB, Sarcoidosis. ❌neg: Necrosis, haemorrhage, liquefaction More to follow on strain ratio

Wow great thoughts by everyone on this case! For a reminder, a man in his 40s has progressive dyspnea and fatigue after a mild COVID infection and this CT scan: Many of you rightly pointed out 🔹Septal thickening 🔹Reticular infiltrates 🔹Pleural involvement and effusions 🔹GGOs

It's just fascinating to see how a playstation joystick has evolved over the years from gaming purpose to controlling submersible vehicles and now bronchoscopy. 😆 #APSRHK2024
