@sciencealice "Patient me" wants to know what is the posterior probability of cancer given the population data, my own genetics and my family history. "Decision theory me" says you're going to be vigilant with screening no matter what that number is.

A meta-analysis suggests the 95% CI for the OR on cancer risk for a genetic mutation is is 0.77 to 1.58. Would you conclude that there is no increased risk of cancer?
