@NYCMayor - 🙏🏽. Climate change affects groundwater levels on our little blue planet. #Lookingforward, might IBM (w/robust remote underground sensing) partner with NY & Google mapping to make a hi-res groundwater map of #5boroughs, that guides planning for people who live here?

Today I spoke with families in Hollis, Queens, many of whom say their lives and homes were upended by devastating flooding last night. I also met the city workers and emergency responders who are working around the clock to get this community back up on its feet.  With flooding season here, New York City government is working to keep New Yorkers prepared and safe. If you were affected by storm-related damage please report it at reportdamage.nyc.gov and file a service request with 311. As we prepare for more rainfall this weekend, we encourage New Yorkers to visit nyc.gov/beready and text NOTIFYNYC to 692-692 to receive emergency alerts.

@DanielEstrin No host country can be allowed to weaponize its position against the very institution it hosts. May the UN General Assembly stand firmly behind its core values. If the abuses continue, the UNGA should seriously consider meeting elsewhere, including Geneva.

When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit. Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero. We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing. Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It's government that delivers for the people who make this city run. That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.
