That is 1 in 8 girls. 22% of girls in sub-Saharan Africa 18% in Latin America/Caribbean 15% in North Africa They also estimate 240m-310m boys have been raped during childhood. That is 1 in 11! A forgotten crime that many boys and men deal with alone. So when we talk about diversity being a strength, it is worth remembering that those men doing the raping are now on the move.
