Amid a market selloff driven by tariff uncertainty, Trump pledges new tariffs on Canada, says he'll declare a national emergency over an Ontario export tariff on electricity and threatens to "permanently shut down" the Canadian auto sector:

Can any nurse, doctor, EMT or ER technician tell me whether this size bandage for a cut on the ear is normal? It seems ridiculously large to me. I mean, wouldn’t a plain ol’ Band-Aid do the trick? 🩹

@Kmtilley1 @breakfasttv Voting is a right, not an obligation. It's commentary like this that makes me laugh the most. If you want to force people to vote, move to a communist country

@breakfasttv People who don't vote should be fined $25 and they must attend one each session virtually of local city council, The Ontario Legislature and The House of Commons in Ottawa. If people are fined and made to understand how tax dollars are being spent, they will vote.

@breakfasttv I would say that "fines" for people who don't vote is ridiculous. This is a free country. And you have the "right" to vote. It's a choice, not an obligation. And if you want more voters, find politicians who aren't lying and deceiving the public to get a vote. Period

@breakfasttv Omg, SUNDAYS. Would go every Sunday to rub shoulders with the Toronto Raptors and listen to great music. Late 90's for sure. Met Tracey Murry, Oliver Miller, Damon Stoudemire, and some other early greats. Sad to see it go

The Phoenix is closing its doors after 33 years. The Phoenix began as a German Canadian Club, before it was re-purposed in the 1980s as the Diamond Club, and then changed its name in 1991. January 15th, 2025 will be the last concert played before transforming into condos.

@breakfasttv No The infrastructure to support these vehicles isn't good enough yet, if you need to drive a fair distance you're screwed if no charging station available The cost of battery replacement is astronomical

@NickFWilliams @breakfasttv Not if you save what you would spend on gas. It's astronomically cheaper. Put it in a savings account and believe me the battery will pay for itself

@breakfasttv I assumed EVs could save me $$ but I have learned that the battery replacements and other car repairs can cost in the tens of thousands and the charging station fees are approaching gas prices (when gas is around $1.10-20). Seems like a bad investment.

@bnicksy @breakfasttv That's because people think they don't have to service them and batteries are expensive. If people would try to save the money they would originally put in for gas and use it for repairs, they would be set. I have own electric for 10 years. Best decision ever

@breakfasttv I have owned an EV for 10 years now. It's the best decision I ever made. However, insurance companies need to catch up with time times. All EV's, in all classes of vehicles, need to be insurable I own a motorcycle, and only one company in Canada insures them.

@BigBrotherCA This game is so fixed. They bring back mediocre players and call it a twist. It's sucks. Think I might be out for the rest of the season. It's turning into the American show, and I used to watch this because it was better. Now it's just crap

@arisacox @GlobalTV @BigBrotherCA @Lisaw_style @insightprod BBCan is so dry. Bringing back past mediocre players to try to make it more interesting. It's still boring. When you bring back players it ruins the new season. I don't want to watch what I have already seen. And Doug and V's games were stale the first time around.

JUST IN: Rapper Diddy's private jet has been tracked to the Caribbean islands after his homes were raided in relation to a s*x trafficking investigation. The jet appeared to land on Antigua in the Caribbean according to flight tracking data. At the moment, it is unknown if Diddy is actually on the plane or not. TMZ is reporting that the jet "currently grounded" on Antigua. "The plane is currently grounded there, although the flight data has yet to update and register him as having officially landed. In any case, it's definitely Diddy's jet ... no question," they reported. Diddy's LA and Miami homes were raided on Monday in relation to a federal investigation into s*x trafficking, narcotics as well as firearms.

@breakfasttv I don't understand why no one is talking about climate change which is disasterous. The 15cm after hardly any snow is because we are deteriorating our planet.
