If @sconinxphil Sabrina hopes she has succeeded I'm fairly confident this is an excellent, must read overview of the current state of affairs in the philosophy of pain but she's too modest to say so :)

I discuss current streams of research in analytic pain philosophy and outline future research directions with stronger interdisciplinary connections. I also advance considerations on topics that have so far received insufficient attention (e.g., pain-related suffering).

Writing an overview article on the philosophy of pain is challenging, but I hope I have succeeded in providing a comprehensive, structured, and opinionated summary for students, academics, and interested readers of varying backgrounds: dx.doi.org/10.1111/phc3.1…
