PabloReports: Ted Cruz called you a parasite and disparaged your work as a bartender. AOC: It’s not a secret the disdain Ted Cruz has for people who work working-class jobs. It’s not a secret what he thinks of the waitresses, the line cooks—he thinks we’re less than him. He thinks that because he has a Harvard degree and has never scrubbed a table that it makes him better than someone who has actually had to work for a living. I think it’s funny that he’s been taking a government paycheck for 23 years but has the audacity to criticize someone who has come from a family that had to work their way up and earn their place here.

Finland's strategy of building entire apartment blocks for formerly homeless individuals as part of its "Housing First" model has been highly successful, contributing to the near-elimination of homelessness in the country. This came with the creation of apartment blocks specifically designed for homeless individuals. These complexes come with private rooms, mental-health support, job assistance, and social workers on site — helping people stabilize their lives before anything else. The rent automatically adjusts to income, meaning no one is ever priced out again. This approach has already helped Finland achieve the lowest homelessness rate in Europe, proving that stable housing creates a foundation for employment, recovery, and long-term independence.

The battery revolution is amazing. Batteries have almost completely displaced gas in Queensland and all it took was two short years!

Today Smith revealed that multiple UCP staffers knew about the separatist data breach and none of them saw anything wrong with it. “It was just regular oversight of a regular opposition meeting” (Does Dani not know who the opposition is?) #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

When you see it, you can’t unsee it. No bus lane. 4 lanes for cars, 2 for parking, 2 for driving. Cars parked in the cycle lane. And some still blame bikes. Congestion costs London £3.85bn a year, yet we still prioritise parking over moving people.

In 1975, a solar panel cost $106 per watt. Today it's under $0.30 per watt. That's a 99.7% cost decline. Unlike fossil fuels which fluctuate with geopolitics and markets... solar has delivered consistent, predictable cost reductions for five decades.

Are you enjoying your 10c/litre holiday from the federal excise tax on gasoline (starting April 20)? The avg Cdn price fell 10c that day. But since then it's risen 20c. So the avg price now is 10 cents higher than BEFORE the 10c tax cut! (Data from gasbuddy.com) /2

Just as we predicted. Federal excise tax cuts have been ineffective in reducing gas prices. New Democrats proposed a better policy: tax the $90 BILLION windfall oil profits and use that money for real relief for struggling Canadians.
