Toronto travellers: we’ve been informed that the baggage belt in Terminal 3 at Toronto Airport is not operating due to a mechanical issue. This issue affects all carriers in Terminal 3.

Due to severe winter weather across Canada, which has limited our ability to move planes and crew to other airports, a number of Sunwing flights continue to experience delays. Our teams are working hard to reaccommodate customers locally and in destination.

@msquarek @SunwingVacay I just went to the Airport and spoke with the Sunwing desk. No flights tonight but I was told there are 2 “recovery” flights tomorrow at 10am and 930pm. Destinations haven’t been set yet. I am also at your hotel. DM me if you want.

@SunwingVacay We have received no confirmation of this and the sunwing people are gone from the RIU Vallarta. Can you let me know what to do

@SunwingVacay why does the app say my flight WG 212 is leaving at 5pm and they have a sign at the resort it’s cancelled. Why such poor communication. Surely you can respect your clients plans to give updates, especially over Christmas. If I ran my business like you I’d be broke.

@SunwingVacay @BrettBeechinor The lack of communication is totally unacceptable. I still have not received an email, call, text or any notification regarding my flight. Merry Christmas….

@BrettBeechinor Hi Brett, we completely understand your frustration. Unfortunately severe winter weather across Canada have limited our ability to move planes and crews to required airports.

@SunwingVacay WG212 Puerto Vallarta to Van. Originally we were told it’s reschedule to Dec 24 at 5pm but hearing conflicting reports from our rep now saying we might not be home for Christmas. Please confirm.

As a result of Vancouver’s weather conditions, stranding several planes and crew, we’ve cancelled select southbound flights with departures up to and including Dec 25, 2022 from Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg airports, effectively immediately.
