Red phalarope in full summer plumage at Wombwell ings this evening ✅ What a gorgeous bird feels like a lifer in this plumage 🔥

@Photos2Print Stayed in Beijing most of the time but went to Shanghai for the day and the hangu woods area for the day which are really good sites for migrants, also went to Chengdu for a couple days and Zhangjiajie national park for a couple days 👍

@scott_linacre Hope to visit myself in a few years time. Did 2 days at Shenzeng in March which was good. Did you tour round a good part of the country?

China was phenomenal for the birding at this time of year 🇨🇳 Managed 206 species with 126 lifers getting all the main targets and more ✅ Top 5 birds for me would have to be Siberian blue robin, Mugimaki flycatcher, Daurian redstart, Amur falcon and Chinese pond heron
