My store has a robot that cleans the floors. It isn't asking for raises, benefits, doesn't need a visa to work in the country and the floors have never been cleaner. We still have politicians who think we need cheap unskilled labour to grow our economy while the opposite is true. It is the difference between short term vision and long term economic plan. Automation is coming and poor societal planning will lead to unrest and costs instead of higher productivity and wages.

It was fantastic gain for the Conservative party in BC but a terrible outcome. Having a minority government with the hard left Greens holding the balance of power lording over the NDP is going to make for some really awful policies for awhile. Sorry BC. 😟
