This afternoon, Fishers Fire Department responded to a residence fire on Silverstone Drive. All residents safely evacuated the home. Crews located the fire in the basement and quickly extinguished it. A closed door played an important role in limiting the fire’s spread. Closed doors can slow smoke and fire for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, helping protect both people and property. 🚪🛌 Close before you doze. Always sleep with your bedroom door closed, and as this family did, close doors behind you as you evacuate. It can make a life-saving difference.
