Policy makers and politicians are failing 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 children, workforce, local businesses and 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 economy @JohnSwinney you need to stop blaming everybody else and sort this mess out. We are willing to sit round the table with you and offer realistic solutions.

As more and more councils set out their plans to offer additional childcare for private fees it provides clear evidence that @scotgov hv given PVIs direct competitors the power to set our rates and restrict our income #anticompetitive this must surely be illegal @NatalieDon_ ???

Glasgow resident child who turns 3 in March 2025 already offered funding in a gcc nursery, but cannot even apply for funding in their current NLC nursery till Feb 2025, and if successful it wouldn’t start till Aug 2025 at earliest 🤔 FFtC @NatalieDon_ @ELCScotGov ??? Shambles !!

We are so upset this morning, another long term experienced provider getting out after decades of commitment to 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 children due to the mess the 1140 has caused! @NatalieDon_ Our members are of the opinion that nothing has changed and they have little option but get out!

More sad news today 🥲 another of our massively experienced colleagues has decided to ‘get out’ of the toxic, crumbling ELC sector. Another 2 nurseries and hundreds of parents affected, and not even close to bring captured by your flawed ‘data collecting’ @ELCScotGov @NatalieDon_
