Prayers go out to the families of all on board the plane that crashed in Garden City today. Captured from my business’ surveillance cameras #CNNiReport

Do we think D1 coaches should be allowed to bring in freshmen in January and cut them 4 mos later before they’ve even had a fall season? Either these coaches are terrible recruiters or they’re basically just holding a tryout and seems the NCAA should have rules for this. I don’t think it’s unreasonable if you entice a young athlete into foregoing half of their senior year in high school and commit them to your university and program that you would not be allowed to cut them until you’ve actually had a season.

@dpatrikarakos We had colleagues filming in Gaza. We didn’t have to rely on social media. I am now going to get back to the story I am working on, which is Venezuela. Looking forward to returning there, Gaza and Iran one day hopefully soon!

But then why, Lindsey – genuinely, not rhetorically – was this standard not applied to Gaza, where journalists also couldn’t enter? BBC coverage there was relentless, even when some claims later proved false. That inconsistency is what puzzles people.
Lindsey Hilsum@lindseyhilsum

@simon_schama @DavQuinn Foreign journalists can’t get in to Iran. We work with social media footage we can verify. Many of us are trying to get into Venezuela. We do our best to cover simultaneous crises. Iran is not being minimised. It is objectively difficult to cover.

@BrendanSugrue I don’t know, maybe never? I do know if Fox gets the NFC playoff wild card games, pretty sure we will hear Burkhardt & Brady again for the 3rd Bears- Packers matchup from Soldier Field if the division plays out as we expect

I know others have said it too but credit to Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady. Overall, they called an outstanding game and Burkhardt's PBP scoring calls were outstanding. Most importantly, they didn't ruin any of the moments by talking over them.

Deleted my stadium tweet cuz there’s more to it than “one side = good and one = bad” which I incorrectly implied 1. I think Warren has done a poor job managing the stadium deal 2. I also think the McCaskeys should sell to a richer ownership group that could fund more/all of the stadiums 3. I don’t like Pritzker outside of this deal but that’s been the case with most IL government regardless of Rep/Dem 4. All I want is my football team to have a new stadium I really don’t care about the politics of it all

@CodyWorsham @TrojanCBB Respectfully I disagree. Aesthetically those seats east and west of the suites look ridiculous. It would look better if the obstructed seats are removed

@TrojanCBB Old seats, pre 2010s renovations/construction of Scholarship Club tower, which was built on top of existing structure. Capacity was reduced - some seats removed, some left but not sold. Assuming they remain for aesthetic purposes - no seat would leave an eyesore.

@ImCollegeSoccer Olympic sports have always lost a lot of money and therefore have been supported by football and men’s bball. With more money coming into college sports than ever before, aren’t they in better position than ever before? Schools need to balance how they spend their funds
