Feels like the Hornets are learning some lessons right now from a great team who has been there. Frustrating but all part of the process.

Sooo next year is the last year of MB's deal. He'll have a large AAV number (~23mill). I think Tidjane gets another chance at securing serious minutes at the 4, and then CLT will definitely use one of their picks on a rookie who plays PF. I think Grant stays as a bench piece. Unless Tidjane absolutely shines, I think that will be the time you'll see a trade for a big name impact player at the 4. MB's expiring contract, Tre Mann's contract as salary filler, Tidjane and 1st round picks in the upcoming draft should get you a spot at the table for trade negotiations. Question is, who might that trade target be?

@OG_BENJAYLATREZ This team composition is just far superior plus the chemistry is off the charts. Kon Miller and LaMelo are a legitimate big 3. getting blown out back to back years in play ins was embarrassing. That was the ceiling of those teams. Hornets ceiling is top 3 now

To see Evans take a deal for $14 million a year from the 49ers - 60 cents on the dollar from his last Bucs contract, before incentives - makes me think he wanted out and Tampa Bay wasn't going to be able to re-sign him. They could match or exceed that without any heavy lifting.
