The vast majority of people don't set out to kill people day to day. But there's something about a cyclist "holding them up" which makes all rational thought go out of the window, and suddenly *nothing* is more important than getting past them, even if it means killing them.

@FietserGlasgow The simple act of getting into a car seems to change a normal, compassionate person into some kind of monster whose only priority is to spend as little time behind a cyclist as possible, even if that dodgy overtake to save three seconds comes at the expense of a cyclist's life.

@RealPaulPutner I never got any drawings printed in @2000AD, just a few letters. (Mine was the last letter printed praising Carlos Ezquerra before he died.) I was a runner up in a ‘draw Ghastly McNasty under the hood’ competition in Scream, and got my sketch of Gary Moore printed in Look In.

Prog 136 I remember sketching my entries for this competition but halfway through each time, scribbling all over my attempts, and tossing them in the bin. I had been intimidated by this cover art. It was like I was Grade 2 level at piano, but trying to play like Oscar Peterson.

@fesshole Aside from the godawful consumerism driving us all to our own destruction, it’s the music that kills it for me. I worked in retail over Xmas decades ago, doing nightmare 16 hr shifts. They played 2 Xmas CDs on repeat. Destroyed my mental health. Can’t listen to Xmas music since.

@MPSRoyal_Parks These incidents always sadden me. An irresponsible owner who could have muzzled the dog, walked it in more appropriate places, and got behavioural support for it. His failure has caused so much trauma, and also cost the life of his dog. 😢 It all could have been avoided.
