@stasamsara Thanks, boss. It's a really important topic, and I'm glad that a character like Tim, whose fans often struggle with it (Tim fans often have low self-worth), gets to represent it. Makes the audience feel seen in a way. Tim's stories are at their best doing slice of life stuff.

@scrabdusan yeah, i can relate and i felt that way about it too. it makes you appreciate it more that they don’t shy away from depicting it with a remarkable superhero. the struggle rarely looks the same for everyone. i hope life is only kinder to you every day. sending you love, friend 💙

@nightwingarchiv Let's be fair, he wants to kiss all of his friends. Not even in a horny way, he just likes his pals.

@PunishedCersox @QuartzN1nja @PotatoMcWhiskey The meritocracy is false. It's been co-opted and exploited by the wealthy so that they can stay in power. Those with merit no longer succeed in this system because the system is run by people who profit on other's failings.

@QuartzN1nja @PotatoMcWhiskey Capitalism is literally based on the premise of voluntary exchange. Why wouldn't a policy that undermines this be viewed with hostility?

@sharksandjays Genuinely kind of proves that the reason for Batman's continued success is that he gets the best writers. He's the most popular too, and that plays a role, but people keep reading because his popularity gets him the best writers in comics.

@justbeetlecat I hope he becomes a PI, which could make him work with Bullock. That's a dynamic I'd love to see: broken down brutish old guy who's still trying to be good vs a kindhearted and idealistic young guy. I think Tim and Bullock would fight, but learn to love each other deep down.

@justbeetlecat Pretty much what I think will happen, with the caveat that I don't think Tim will become a new hero. Tim's altruistic obsession with helping people will get the better of him, but I think Tim is at the point where he doesn't need to be a hero to feel good about himself. 1/2

@justbeetlecat Tim's biggest flaw has always been his self esteem. His arc has been about him healing those self-worth issues by becoming a hero (like the heroes he looks up to) and gaining self-worth from that. He's at the point now where he doesn't need to be a superhero to be "worthy." 2/2

@AMARKAREEM2 Like, I'm willing to forgive it because it's an objectively good move character-wise (his whole arc since the 90s has been about him learning to believe in himself enough to not have to be a superhero to love himself). That said, it was handled weirdly.

The reason why Tim leaving now feels lackluster and not built up enough is because he has no real civilian or normal life that justifies it. Like all he does is date bernard and that's it. He has no real life outside of Robin. Like he hasn't developed at all as Tim Drake-

@MarkStephenFord Kind of a brilliant idea. There's something so magical about the idea of making a rock musical exploring generational trauma through telling the story of the daughter of a supervillain.

I was thinking last night about how Stephanie Brown is implied to be a rock music fan in the comics and a lot of fans associate her with rock instead of pop, and it made me wonder: Would Stephanie’s life be a fitting subject for a rock opera?

@Parzival_jay To be fair, this was very intentionally designed as Tim's swan song. I mean his character arc has pretty much been over since 2011, so I appreciate we got a whole issue of Tim doing cool shit before he gave up.

@lunarsteph Same thing happened to Tim when they wrote Jack out, but he at least had a replacement father-son thing with Bruce before that. Steph was connected, but not in a familial coded way at all. She was more of an apprentice to the family than anything.
