The dream... Proof of concept for full CMYK mode after GIMP 3.0, inspired by a conversation with @zemarmot. **Very** buggy at the moment, but at least I have a better understanding of how to implement it when the time comes.

@Alex_Sittner This is not a very active communication channel. Would you like us to be not very active in two places rather than one? :)

It's healthy to familiarize yourself with individuals who exist outside your comfort zone and norms. It can be challenging, inspiring, or sometimes just validating. So when you meet someone who prefers a light color theme in their IDE - study them, ask why 😂

@cameralibre @KieranClarkin @penpotapp We support IDML. There's only some initial clean room reverse engineering work done on .indd by a fellow team, there is no code to import .indd in any real free/libre software yet

@KieranClarkin I don't know if @scribus can open .indd files, maybe? For designing from scratch or with others (particularly for digital design rather than print) there's the wonderful @penpotapp

Can anyone recommend an open source (not necessarily free) alternative to InDesign, possibly that can also open .indd Maybe @cameralibre knows?

We've moved 1.5.x development to a dedicated branch where it will be completed to become stable v1.6 release. Trunk in SVN is now open for 1.7.x development where we plan to move to Qt 6.2+, this will result in having native M1 builds for macOS

@ShubhamPatilart Either way, you need a dark theme installed separately as Scribus doesn't have a dark theme of its own. You might have luck with newer versions of Windows and macOS that have this feature, in that case, please let us know

@ShubhamPatilart You need to either choose a system-wide dark system for this to work (easy on Linux with either KDE or Qt configuration application) or do it for Scribus specifically (File > Preferences > User Interface > Main Window >Theme) [1/2]

I’ve designed every single cover for this press on @scribus, an open-source page layout program. Not always easy but always free, which is essential for our press since we don’t have the cash for InDesign or Photoshop. So I guess this is just a thank you to the folks there. - NR

@scribus 3. Ah I supposed that not when I tried to import a SVG with mesh gradient and the colour info was discarded. So I have to reformulate my question, could I preserve the mesh gradient info from an Inkscape SVG?

@scribus Three things: 1-Thanks! 2-There is way to donate to the project or some dev via Patreon or similar? 3-Does mesh gradient support is planned? . . . 4-One more thing: Thanks! ❤️
