Trump has launched what the @FinancialTimes calls his most consequential intervention yet: joint US-Israeli strikes on #Iran that killed Leader Ali Khamenei on day one. #ACLED data maps US military action in at least 6 countries since 2025: ft.com/content/e9905f…

For this graphic we compare the terrain of the three most expensive rail projects in the world. HS2 costs an eye watering $537mn per km despite being built on relatively flat terrain. Read @gillplimmer1 @PickardJE and Jonathan Vincent's excellent article ft.com/content/3f731e…

HS2 is by far the most expensive railway, despite being built on relatively flat terrrain, more than any other rail project in the world as the total bill could surpass £100bn. Read @gillplimmer1, @PickardJE and Jonathan Vincent's excellent article ft.com/content/3f731e…

@CredibleCrypto Have an amazing time in Bali, it's a beautiful country. Make sure you visit the smaller villages for their arts and crafts, Mas, Ubud and Celuk. Their wife carving is crazy skilled. The rice traces at Tegalalang are spectacular and sunset at Tanah Lot is a must

I just bought $5,500 worth of Qatar airlines Avios points (400,000 points). Here's why 🧵: Qatar airlines which is known for it's luxury business class offering (Q-Suites) is currently running a flash sale on their Avios points that ends in less than 48 hours from now. They are offering a whopping 70% BONUS on purchases of 40,000 points or more, with a maximum allowable purchase of 250,000 points (before the bonus is applied). With the max purchase of 250,000 points and with the 70% bonus applied, this amounts to a maximum purchasable amount of 425,000 Avios points for $5,750. These points can save you a TON of money on long haul, international flights in business/first class and don't expire for a minimum of 36 months. Let's take a sample itinerary and compare the cost of a roundtrip flight from the US to Bali in Qatar's business class using cash vs using points. For this example I chose random dates that are about a year out for best business class award availability: JFK (New York) -> DPS (Bali) w/ connection in Doha (Qatar hub) Business Class Fare (Q-Suite) using CASH: $6,417.11 Business Class Fare (Q-Suite) using Avios for EXACT SAME FLIGHT: 200,000 points + $612.21 in taxes/fees We know it costs around $2,700 to purchase 200,000 Avios points utilizing the current 70% BONUS, so the total cash conversion of the flight booked using points is: $2,700 (200k points) + $612.21 taxes/fees = ~$3,300 This is a savings of ~$3,100 or a 50% discount VS the cash price for the EXACT SAME FLIGHT! Note this also reduces the gap between an economy class fare and a business class fare tremendously. An economy class fare for these same flights would cost around ~$1,600. Most would not be willing to pay around 4x to purchase business class instead, but by using points you can reduce the cost to just 2x that of economy, and for a long haul, 20+ hour journey like this that price difference is a lot more appealing. Note that you can also transfer credit card points from major issuers (like Amex) to get Avios points instead of using cash to buy them. For example, for the same flights above you can transfer 155,000 AMEX points (w/ 30% conversion bonus) to get the required 200,000 Avios points you need for this roundtrip flight and then pay the $600 in taxes/fees to get this same flight for a fraction of the cost. If you get these Amex points via a sign up bonus (like I recently did here: x.com/CredibleCrypto…) then your out of pocket cost is literally just the $600 in taxes/fees for what would normally have cost you $6,000+ in cash or $3,000+ by purchasing Avios points with cash using the 70% bonus promo described above- a savings of 80-90% 🔥 For more travel tips and hacks, give me a follow so that you can make your crypto gains last 10x longer on travel post cycle top 🫡

I never grow tired of the ever changing scenery of the Lake District. These two shots were taken 2 hours apart from the top of Walla Crag. I love how you can see the rain falling in the valley and the sunlight bursting through the clouds
