CARRICK IS NOT THE MAN FOR THE MAN UNITED JOB That’s too big of a job for him at the moment. United fans need to drop this LAZY comparison. Pep did it at Barcelona. Zidane did it at Madrid. Kompany is doing it at Bayern. It’s not the same situation. Pep inherited prime Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Busquets, Puyol in one team. Zidane inherited Ronaldo, Modrić, Kroos, Ramos, Benzema. Kompany walked into Bayern with Kane, Musiala, Upamecano, Kim Min-Jae, Pavlović, and was immediately backed with players like Olise. Those were complete, elite squads. Manchester United is a rebuild. Carrick would inherit a team of Mainoo, Ugarte, Luke Shaw, Dalot and a squad still trying to find its level. That is not the same environment. You don’t put a rookie manager in charge of a rebuild. And before someone says it “Yes, Arsenal hired Arteta.” But Arsenal also gave him time. Seven years of backing. Seven years of patience. Now they are finally knocking on the door of the league. So if United hire Carrick, they must be ready to give him years, not months. But we all know how this club works. Two bad months… Three bad months… And the pressure starts. Then Carrick gets sacked. And by then the elite managers available today are already gone. And the cycle starts again. Another reset. Another “project.” Another wasted two years. United need to stop delaying the obvious. Hire a proven manager now. Back him properly. And move forward.

Tell me one game we have won when Sesko started under Carrick? How many games did we win under Amorim when Sesko started? How many games did we draw under Amorim when Sesko started? How many matches did we lose under Amorim when Sesko started? Grimsby, Manchester City, Newcastle, check how we pressed and who started? There’s a reason why Amorim started Mbeumo or cunha as the No 9 in some games. There’s a reason why Carrick started Mbeumo as the No 9 when he took charge and not Sesko. For matches that are high intensity and needs us pressing the opponents, Mbeumo is the best choice in starting and leading the press. Sesko is not a pressing machine, just like Ronaldo. Sesko will guarantee you goals but expecting Sesko to press the opponents for 90mins is a joke. Starting Sesko means, sitting back and inviting pressure on yourself.
