They are not going to hear the hard facts on the local news & I l don’t see many maga comments in the NYTs & doubt they watch Frontline, NPR or PBS. But! Town halls do work!

I’ve been thinking and saying more or less the same things about how to fight Trump. Ossoff and Buttiegieg, among others, are on this path. It’s the right direction.

"The chances that Dua Lipa would help raise funds for a vehicle for our unit weren’t high... but they were never zero!" British singer Dua Lipa helped the Ukrainian First Separate Medical Battalion acquire a pickup truck. The vehicle will be used for evacuations and operational tasks in the combat zone. The funds were raised at a charity event organized by Service95, a platform founded by Dua Lipa. The money was transferred to Driving Ukraine, which retrofits vehicles for medics and military personnel. Thank you, @DUALIPA! Thank you, everyone who helped make this happen!

Behind me, you can see 20,000 teddy bears—each one representing a Ukrainian child who has been kidnapped and abducted by Russia, the Russian Federation, by Putin. In red, there will be a large sign clearly stating: “Putin abducted 20,000 Ukrainian children. Bring kids back.” All of this is part of a large installation that will be presented this Thursday, April 23, at 1:00 PM, and will help people grasp the scale of how many children we are talking about. Right now, I’m on site where everything is being put together and prepared for this installation. You can see volunteers from Razom for Ukraine (@razomforukraine) placing the teddy bears on the fence to create this powerful display—showing that each teddy bear represents one child.

We poisoned 98% of North America's prairie dogs and black-footed ferrets nearly went extinct. Burrowing owls, black-footed ferrets, swift foxes, rattlesnakes, tiger salamanders, insects, and dozens of bird species all depend on prairie dog towns. We did it because ranchers believed prairie dogs competed with cattle for grass. Studies have since shown that prairie dog grazing actually improves forage quality and cattle weight gain. The grazing-competition story was wrong. By the time we'd figured that out, prairie dog populations had been reduced from billions to a few percent of their historical range. The USDA still funds lethal control programs on public lands. They are routinely shot for sport and their cousins, Utah prairie dogs, and Mexican prairie dogs, are endangered. If you live in a state with prairie dogs, push your state wildlife agency to end recreational shooting and require non-lethal management on public land. Support groups doing on-the-ground work: the Prairie Dog Coalition, WildEarth Guardians, Defenders of Wildlife. If you're a landowner, don't let agricultural extension push you toward poison. We invented the problem by killing them. We can start fixing it by letting them dig.

Today I’m proposing we suspend the federal gas and diesel taxes to give Americans some relief. The people who started this war in Iran don’t have to worry about the price of gas every day. But we do. Suspend the gas tax. Suspend the diesel tax. End the war in Iran.

Some of my colleagues keep pointing to the 60-day clock in the War Powers Act as cover for this war. Either they haven’t read the law or they're hoping you haven’t. Today at Kevin Warsh's Fed Chair confirmation hearing: Senator Warren: "Are you refusing to tell us if you have investments in vehicles set up by Jeffrey Epstein?" Warsh: "Those assets will be sold if I'm confirmed and before I take office." He did not say no. Warsh's name appears in the publicly released DOJ Epstein files. A 2010 dinner guest list reportedly included Epstein, Warsh, his wife Jane Lauder, Donald Trump, and Melania Trump. Warren revealed that the FBI conducted zero investigation into Warsh's financial holdings or his appearance in the Epstein files before clearing his nomination. Warsh has over $100 million in undisclosed assets. If confirmed, he would be the wealthiest Fed Chair in more than 100 years — installed by a president already being investigated by the BBC for trading tied to his market-moving statements. Never stop connecting the dots.

ICE is reckless and out of control. A 27-year Army veteran with three tours in Afghanistan — Sgt. 1st Class Jose Serrano — watched ICE agents arrest his wife during a routine immigration appointment, even after they showed military IDs. This cruelty must stop. We will not fund an agency that terrorizes the families of those who served our nation.
