Hard to understand, but I could see a world where CI doesn't exist anymore. Continuous Integration is a model thats tightly tied to how we run version control. Workflows are shifting left. Pre-commit workflows are much more important. Real-time is actually continuous.

Please I’m begging you, Slack, let OSS communities use your product for free so they’re not forced to use this shit. It looks great for irreverent gamer chat but it’s giving me anxiety even thinking about using it or any kind of work.

Seriously, try XState if you haven't. Just fucking try it. Starting to think we hate hooks & effects so much because we should be using XState more. I'm refactoring spaghetti code into a state machine and watching the complexity just vanish. This is amazing. I love it so much.

One of the more controversial things is that we don't change salaries based on location. We have the same expectations for contributing to company results no matter where you live, so it doesn't make sense we'd pay one person more for the same job. Equal pay for equal work.

Feature velocity is missing the point. Outcomes > Output To do more faster, build less. Build fewer features, but choose the features that help users the most.
