@carausius286 @barneyronay Of course interest fluctuates depending on the opponent (hype), but c'mon mate it's huge in the summer months. I was out today in Melb, beautiful weather, lots of kids playing in the park with their families. Inner North Melb. Likewise last week down at Lorne w/ beach cricket.

@barneyronay I’m English & live in Australia. I don’t recognise what she portrays. During a successful Ashes, some kids come out, but it’s like kids in England who pick up a racket once a year during Wimbledon. The only people regularly playing grassroots cricket are S Asian diaspora.

@Hugh_96 I think the main difference is that all the players play in the same competition which is one of (if not the) best rugby comps in the world.

@Hugh_96 Is it really that different? The RL side doesn't play that many games together either and it's largely made of up players from many different NRL teams. I understand the geographic spread is a lot wider but I'm not sure agree with the cohesion being a lot better.

It’s amazing how different rugby is to NRL when it comes to the international game. Below is the Samoan squad playing in Dubai in November for the final Rugby World Cup spot. Look at where the players are coming from, hard to build cohesion.

@yeahmateright I mean it's between Nanai, Toia & Tino, I'm not saying it was a great QLD performance by any means... we were dominated but you are cooked if you think Nanai didn't have an impact. One of the only ones that looked like he cared.

@VinceRugari An ageing team full of blokes at the end of their careers (some who are still associated with a dark period of Australian cricket) and people are upset that a young kid is bringing something a bit different? Crazy to me. I love it. Breath of fresh air.

This is just a story about his time at his junior club. Relax brother. Konstas has everyone rattled, including you.
Dave Dawson@demon_dave

@VinceRugari⁩ is full of shit, like all Sydney media they’re talking as if Sam Konstas is the new Bradman, his last 3 scores & the way he plays proves he’s a kid still playing yard cricket, he’s not up to it #AusvInd #AusVsIndia

After all the hand-wringing and whinging, it sure looks in retrospect like that Sam Konstas knock set the tone rather well for Australia. #AUSvIND

@GrumpyNeil_ @Hezland35 @henrymoeranBBC Day 3 I paid $85 (pic), there were other seats available for $50. I considered going Day 4, cheapest I saw online was again $50. Unsure if there was cheaper GA tickets available at ground on both days. All prices in AUD.

What a great game of cricket, everything you could wish for from a Test match. A crowd of 373,691 across five days smashes a record held for 87 years, too.

@FOXNRL Please stop playing the cringe team soundbite's when a try is scored, it's not adding anything.

@tickerscricket It’s tough to read on our side too. We’re finally on the right side of something (it’s just out) but 99% of our fans are wrong about why, linking videos of not even remotely similar situations or that this is some sort of square up to a clearly grounded non-catch the day before.

Utterly galling to have to sit back and take "whingeing hypocrites!" chuckles from a country that not 24 hours earlier was enraged about how these days you can't even catch the ball by dragging it along the ground, but we've only ourselves to blame.
