from a cost perspective right now, it makes sense to pay the $99/mo for the same supergrok usage from a month ago, but that's in a perfect world: not factoring in them changing everything again, and giving in to the path in your OG post above. are there any other platforms where you can create lots of videos for a reasonable cost?

@seeksteve That would make a lt of sense and be better for the user - which is probably why they won't do it 😅 and yeah - I've seen a few people now saying that Heavy has the same usage limit as SuperGrok from a month ago. What a load of shit.

This is how I feel about Grok today. I was a huge fan but I will now cancel when my SuperGrok subscription comes up for renewal. The product I was sold is not the product I am receiving. The video is super rough. With current rate limits, I wasn't prepared to iterate and refine each clip. There is a whole community who use Grok to make clips that they iterate and refine into amazing videos. Those people make Grok look good, they make it shine. Those people are now having the rug pulled from under them. With generation limits more restricted than ever, that community is losing its ability to make great videos - and in turn - make Grok look good. Why would anyone use Grok as a creation tool when current generation limits mean that you can only squeeze out a few seconds of good footage every 24 hours? When I first signed up for SuperGrok, I could generate, rework and refine enough clips in a day to make two or three full videos and my generation limits refreshed every 2-3 hours. SuperGrok has now been kneecapped The community that signed up for the capabilities and capacity of SuperGrok is now having that taken away and re-sold to us as SuperGrok Heavy with a significantly increased price tag. It's a classic bait and switch. If we reward this behaviour and buy into SuperGrok Heavy, I see no reason why the same thing won't happen again - expect to see 'SuperGrok Heavy Plus' in six months time and 'SuperGrok Heavy Plus Platinum' six months after that. There is a chronic lack of transparency around Grok and the product many of us thought we were buying. We are given canned lines about a scarcity of resource every time we query why we aren't getting the product or service we paid for. We are asked to hold out for better days, when all I've seen is decline, not improvement. it’s all fairly simple… you don’t need to have the best ideas in the world or a perfectly laid out plan. give the people: 1. Logic 2. Good faith 3. Unscriptedness: Speak like you speak, answer questions directly. these things matter more than “party”. we are watching the death of the party.

The dam is broken. Ordinary people have a way to speak truth to power now. Complaining about AI in politics won’t stop it. You actually have to address the grievances or we’ll keep clowning you. Simple as.

Your campaign is getting absolutely nuked if you don’t embrace the lessons of what the campaign is teaching. Candidates who still rely on the old school dishonest media tricks will first get mocked, then ignored, then become completely irrelevant. IMO this is true right down to the local level. You can’t just flat out lie and have the town newspaper (or TMZ in Spencer’s case) run a lazy hit piece, then kick back laughing as the 65+ crowd believes you (and actually votes) while your money and connections go out and do the rest to get you elected. Luckily for America, internet trolls have always been the best BS detectors. In a delightfully autistic way they just want to see realistic levels of a few simple things: 1. Logic 2. Good faith 3. Unscriptedness (if that’s a word? no canned political BS and no dodging real questions. speak like we speak) You’re seeing what happens when those with nothing better to do than stay up until 4am finding every single creative way to exploit a new technology are given the tools of a whole army instead of the arrow without a bow they’ve had for years (the equivalent of complaining on reddit making 0 impact). The era of Political UGC is here. The next unlock is getting people to register to vote and having them actually go do it… In many ways it feels like the people’s last stand.

I’ve had this happen a few towns recently on a much smaller scale— it’s super lame. I did read recently and I think it was from @nikitabier that there was content attribution rolling out soon where if you were the first one to post something, the system would somehow attribute it to you and credit some aspect of the success of it to you. Doesn’t help in this case but it would be great to see that roll out soon. The shamelessness of these people just swiping original content while sitting across the table from you is insanity. Especially when supporting the same cause FFS

@seeksteve @XFreeze @xai The reason they don't include usage is because they need to remain flexible. Limits change by the week/day/time of day. They'd rather be vague, then promise and have to under deliver. That being said, premium+ usage is a joke, and i assume heavy is too.

@seeksteve I signed up for supergrok three months ago but am now going to cancel - the recent rate limits make me feel like I've been conned by a bait and switch scheme. Grok is not a tool for serious creators anymore.

the new rate limits for 720p gens in grok imagine are going to make serious creators lose trust in the platform. i’m in the middle of a video that will likely bring 100k+ views to X across accounts and just got hit with the new rate limit, but: - we have no idea what the limit is - there is no guidance for when everything resets once you hit the limit - upgrading to the next tier is $270 more per month… can we get some guidance on this @elonmusk @grok @imagine ?

@seeksteve I have been posting about unknown rate limits for months. Just get back canned responses for X and Grok, I know is it sever dependant, but they know the average uses of them. They treat us like mushrooms, keep us in the dark.
