I loved that one. I submitted it to a valentine's day contest last year and when it didn't even make the top 20 (and IMO it objectively warranted being in the top 5) and most of the top 20 were cheesy slop I was just like... Yea, I think I'm done here. That was my last interaction with the Suno community at large. Keep creating man. Eff the haters. I don't blame you for not wanting to be shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of low effort slop. You put a lot of care and effort into your style and it shows.

I saw that, which is how I stumbled on to this post. I saw the screenshot of your post and was like "Oh man, I gotta see the comments". I was just rolling my eyes when I saw the number of tracks people were posting. I shared my album and a couple of singles because I felt like they were the only ones worth putting out there publicly, even though I've written like 230+ diff songs on Suno. I like about 80 of them and listen to them consistently but they're mainly just for me and my fam. Very few of them do I consider good enough to publish for others. But, we're all on our own journey. I probably would have been doing the same thing a year or two ago. 🙄

Being open to criticism is a sign of maturity. All of this stemmed from an original post where I didn't even name any names. So the people triggered lashing out clearly felt personally attacked, thus revealing themselves and what they actually think of their own work thus why they were triggered so hard. It was an uno reverse card and worked perfectly.

Its this stuff right here that turned me off to the Suno community. There is so much garbage on Suno and everyone (myself included) always thinks their latest track is just the greatest thing ever. It's not. It's mostly slop. There was a guy named NickyNu who was hosting Suno Music Show for a while that was actually critical of people's music and people hated him for it. Not me. I loved him. His criticality helped me grow so much. I became a much better songwriter and creator because I paid attention to what he was hearing and began to hear it too and suddenly realized how much slop all of my suno tracks were. I have a few now that I'm really proud of - that feel like actual works of art. But I feel the same way about the scene that's forming on Aethr lol.

I’m not here for “like for like” bullshit. I like and share what I like. It’s called curating my own feed and is true for life. So I am creating a cultist tavern for a Call of Cthulhu adventure and I want it to have the nastiest liquors imaginable. Not the cheapest - the nastiest. Obviously Absinthe is a star. My problem is I am a teetotaler. So I don’t know what ANY liquor tastes like, except cheap whiskey and apple wine which I tried in my misspent youth. I’m thinking Jagermeister, Absinthe, Jeppson’s Malört, banana schnapps, Fireball, Certain Baiju (Chinese pal recommended this), Fernet-Branca and … what else? Suggestions are welcomed. Cloying sweet is as gross as bitterness so let me know. Yes, all the drinks have a magic effect TBD.

Experimenting with Seedance 2.0 on @runwayml. If you thought realistic videos are hard, try cartoons/3D. Consistency and continuity seem harder for this model across clips, even when using ref images and production boards. But doable!

For some reason this reminds me of the ranch house I stayed at in Durango, CO as a child. It was absolutely overrun with flies. The windowsills were completely coated. When we would vacuum them up it was the most sickeningly sweet smell ever as we inhaled the fly dust. I'm really sad that I know what fly dust smells like.
