Ooltewah High School did not have to look far to find new boys' and girls' basketball coaches:

@joeypetersen8 I don’t understand why we don’t throw money at good football players that have high character or at least are trustworthy in their approach to what they need to do

Brent Hubbs on Chaz Coleman:
“He’s got to go to the practice field. He’s got to commit to it harder. He’s dealing with whatever personal things he’s dealing with. But at some point in time, Chaz Coleman has to make a commitment that he’s going to put in the work, and he’s going to grind seven days a week the way he needs to if he’s going to be a factor for this football team this fall. He’s not getting ready to get thrown off the team or anything like that. I don’t find him to be a great distraction, I don’t think it’s one of these deals where he’s dividing this team. This is not a Boo Carter situation."

@IsaacPunts Between college ball and rookie ball/indy ball good. The antics are the antics. But a majority of these players were good at baseball when it was just baseball, but not good enough to stick in affiliate ball.

Okay I have a legitimate question as a football guy who doesn’t watch baseball.
How good at baseball are these guys actually? Like is this college level ball? Minor league level? Somewhere in between?
Outside the gimmick how good is the play here?

This is not baseball.

@TweetsbyCoachP Haven’t missed a game. Missed a practice for death in the family. Missed 1-2 workouts for death in the family.

Parents will pay for lessons and take their kids to practice and think that's whats going to make them a ballplayer...
Little do they know becoming a ballplayer happens at home. It's how your player lives. It's who they are.
Playing catch everyday, hitting squishy balls in the house, diving catches on the couch, wall ball, imaginary play, watching the game, talking the game, educating them in the game. Make sure they always have a ball in their hand!
Do you play baseball or are you a baseball player?
If you want your kid to be a baseball player you have to put in effort daily in some way, shape or form.
Create consistency and watch your player thrive and grow more and more in love with the game each day.
