Statement by MKP Secretary General, Nomvalo Fellow South Africans, comrades, and the people of Gauteng, After careful consideration and extensive consultation within the structures of uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP), we have taken a firm and principled decision: MKP will NOT support the tabling or passing of the Gauteng Provincial Budget. We say this with no malice, but with the clarity and honesty that our people deserve. For too long, political parties have played games of convenience while the people suffer. MKP refuses to be part of that circus. When the @MYANC needed support in Gauteng , MKP stood ready to engage in good faith. We extended the hand of cooperation. Yet when it was our turn to ask for reciprocity — when we needed the ANC to stand with MKP in the KZN Provincial Legislature — that same hand was slapped away. The ANC in KZN has made it crystal clear that they have no interest in returning the favour. To Premier @Lesufi and the @GautengANC leadership in Gauteng: we are truly sorry, but at this point we must put MKP and the people who voted for us first. We cannot continue to give without receiving. Politics is not charity. It is about mutual respect and mutual benefit.
