Footnote from the research: two Reddit threads stood out, both asking "is anyone actually using agentic payments in production?" ~20 commenters. One had production experience — and he was supply-side, building infrastructure. Zero users posted. The guardrails everyone named as preconditions for trust — hard caps, policy layers, human overrides — already ship. The gap is how that infrastructure is blended into the UX — for agents and for the humans operating them. That's where SELAT builds, on both sides. The guardrails are @BuildOnCircle's — hard, agent-proof caps in every Agent Wallet since day one. We make them felt by the operator (visible budgets, uncapped-deposit warnings, policy status at setup) and optimized the agent-side UX that connects to our rail abstraction infrastructure: one runtime path across x402, MPP and any rail that may emerge tomorrow.
