You may not know his name, but Christoph (@GBKS) is an unsung hero in the Bitcoin space and one of the leaders of the @bitcoin_design community.
Killer design (specifically UX work) has been one of the key missing ingredients in the Bitcoin space, but is rapidly improving thanks to the Bitcoin Design community.
We've been working more and more closely with them over the past few months, and highly recommend every Bitcoin company building apps or websites get plugged in there to learn more and to give back.

@CameronRuggles @WatchFund Without Seraphis we need to rely on manual reports by @selsta541 and @binaryFate…
English

@binaryFate @janowitz @calciferciccio @fluffypony FWIW we have a history of adding backlinks to the people and companies involved in an audit, like for example
getmonero.org/2020/07/31/cls…
English

@janowitz @calciferciccio @selsta541 @fluffypony Feel free to propose a rewrite that remains technically correct and informative, there will probably be consensus to merge it (and me ok to deploy).
English

For the first time ever, a for profit company managed to publish a blog post on the #monero website: getmonero.org/2024/03/08/cls…
The post is irrelevant to Monero users, as they say in the first paragraph, but boy what great visibility this gives to cypherstack.
English

@calciferciccio @janowitz @fluffypony @binaryFate because i'm not interested in potentially spending my day defending myself on twitter?
English

@selsta541 @janowitz @fluffypony @binaryFate So you delete it instead of defending it? I don't think there was deal, but removing what you said does make think that you understood there was fishy SEO filled bullsit in the post and was ok with it because in exchange you got the audit. Fair enough. No need to hide it.
English

@calciferciccio @janowitz @fluffypony @binaryFate because i don't want people to use this as evidence that there was some kind of "secret deal" when no such thing existed.
English

@selsta541 @janowitz @fluffypony @binaryFate Come on man why delete the post where you say that you are ok with the audit in exchange of some backlinks for cypherstack in the blog post? That doesn't make you look in good faith.
English

@janowitz @calciferciccio @fluffypony @binaryFate we were only in contact with sarang. if diego was involved in the background that's possible, but out of my knowledge. regarding credits, i would have loved to credit him, that's why I mentioned him in the PR description but that's the blog post he sent so I assume he is ok with
English

@selsta541 @calciferciccio @fluffypony @binaryFate I seriously doubt Diego had no involvement when reading the article which refers like in every sentence to his company.
All credits for the discovery are at Sarang, not the company he is working for but the article doesn't even mention him.
English

@calciferciccio @janowitz @fluffypony @binaryFate what I mean with that is that I saw the backlinks, but since Zano paid for the audit and Sarang / Cypher Stack found them I thought it was fair to keep them in. It wasn't some kind of requirement to get the blog post published
English

@selsta541 @fluffypony @janowitz @binaryFate I'm not in any Monero channel anymore, not even those i created.
English

@fluffypony @calciferciccio @janowitz @binaryFate we wanted something prepared in case someone asks "they found issues in clsag, is monero broken?!!"
English

@fluffypony @calciferciccio @janowitz @binaryFate you are in the channel where this was discussed, this wasn't some rushed blog post merge. but i don't know how active you use irc these days.
the reason it didn't get opened earlier is because it was part of a responsible disclosure process.
English

@calciferciccio @fluffypony @janowitz @binaryFate he was the most qualified for it so we said yes. he asked for feedback and we were free to edit it as we want. diego had no involvement. i knew this would end up in drama but i prefer an accurate blog post on how these issues affect monero over some personal issues
English

@calciferciccio @fluffypony @janowitz @binaryFate sarang disclosed issues in CLSAG security proofs and asked if we want to be included in the responsible disclosure. after half a day later we didn't have anything written and sarang offered to write a blog post for us. since he created clsag, and he worked monero's implementation
English

@fluffypony @calciferciccio @janowitz @binaryFate i don't have repo write permission how am i responsible for what ends up on the website?
English

@calciferciccio @janowitz @selsta541 @binaryFate Check the commits, unless someone sent to him and he posted it he’s responsible for it
English

@tannerdsilva @DontTraceMeBruh @hundehausen we have been looking into improving performance during heavy rpc load (together with large txpool) but that's not something we will have ready with the next release
English

@tannerdsilva @DontTraceMeBruh @hundehausen does restarting temporarily improve the performance of the node?
English

@tannerdsilva @DontTraceMeBruh @hundehausen can cake temporarily spin up a couple more nodes until tx volume slows down again?
English

@DontTraceMeBruh @hundehausen this phenomena has become increasingly apparent as the mempool becomes more congested

English

@cold_hanshan @crypto_0ptimist @CryptoTweetie With the second t in my example being this new t-address for exchanges.
English

@cold_hanshan @crypto_0ptimist @CryptoTweetie They want a new t-address that can only receive funds from t-addresses. Basically you would have to send from z->t->t instead of directly z->t.
English

To be compliant or to be anonymous?
Curious how #Monero STATED it will not comply ? 😂
