I encourage artists to get in their bag of creating classic body’s of work. I know it’s a content game. I know we gotta pump pump pump music out, etc. But, I promise you, if you just slow down a little and do your BEST work for YOURSELF, your art will carry you.

I don’t really post on here, but today calls for it, my brother Mel is officially a Grammy-nominated songwriter. When I think genius, I think Jamel Smith. He’s been that. The world is catching up. I’m geeked about it

The moment I sense hesitation or resistance, I’m gone. I don’t beg, I don’t explain. I adapt and move. As a artist, My vision isn’t up for debate. My instinct, taste, execution is the art. No compromise. I want what I want.
