A friend of mine just passed his UK driving test. 15 attempts. £62 each time. That’s £930 just to get a licence. And here’s the crazy part… Some of the things he failed for didn’t even make sense. What one examiner overlooks today, another will fail you for tomorrow. Same mistake. Different outcome. He questioned a few decisions, got no real explanation. So it makes you wonder… Are these tests actually consistent, or just subjective depending on who you get? Either way… Respect to him. Most people would’ve quit way earlier.

Nigeria and the UK have signed 3 major MoUs covering migration partnership, organised immigration crime & border security, and expanded business visas for UK firms operating in Nigeria. Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo said the agreements reflect Nigeria’s push for a transparent, rules-based migration system that is safe, orderly and mutually beneficial, while tackling abuse of legal pathways and strengthening border control. He noted the deals will boost trade, ease mobility for businesses, and support Nigeria’s drive toward a trillion-dollar economy under Bola Ahmed Tinubu, removing barriers linked to irregular migration. UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood described Nigeria as a leading bilateral partner with a shared vision for deeper cooperation, while Trade Envoy Florence Eshalomi said expanded visas will unlock economic growth opportunities for both countries. @UKinNigeria

“Oh Tosin, you are in Tech, there’s job for tech people in the UK and the pay is good” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Six months, we still dey do interview back to back. Some interviews are in three stages, coding home tests, live coding interviews, behavioral interviews… I had to settle for warehouse job (6pm to 6am) when all money has finished… I couldn’t go the next day because if I continue, I might breakdown.

The gateman in my compound is paid 30,000 Naira a month. For that amount, he is expected to man the gate, wash cars, clean the compound, and pump water. When I moved in, I found this arrangement absolutely ridiculous. He recently had a confrontation with a tenant’s wife who demanded to know why her car hadn’t been washed. When he calmly explained that washing cars wasn't part of his original job description, she flared up. I have advocated for an upward review of his salary several times, but the other tenants have consistently opposed it. The irony is incredible. We condescendingly call these men "common gatemen," underpay them, and still expect optimal performance at all times. Yet, the moment that "common gateman" isn't there to do the work, we suddenly realize how tedious and essential those jobs actually are. We need to start treating these people with the dignity they deserve. We shouldn't just appreciate them because they make our lives easier—we should do it because, technically, our safety is in their hands.

For the first time in 2 years, our compound gate man travelled. Just two days. And everywhere has scattered. Normally the man does everything. Open gate. Pump water. Fuel the generator. Wash cars. We didn’t even realize how much work he was doing until he left. Yesterday morning, water finished from the tank. Everybody came outside looking confused. Nobody even knew where the water switch is. Later we contributed money to buy fuel for the generator. Then someone asked, “Who will go and buy the fuel?” Silence. Nobody moved. Last night I came back home without my key. I knocked and banged the gate for almost 45 minutes. Nobody opened. This morning I even had to wash my own car. First time in years. Then the waste disposal people came. Nobody attended to them. They just dropped the waste and left. Omo… Only two days without our gate man and this compound has completely lost direction. It’s going to be a very long week for all of us.

You're out here calling them "rented idiots" who skipped shifts for a "show of shame," questioning why they're in the UK if the mandate is so glorious. Solid burn attempt, doc, but let us diagnose this logic real quick, It's got more holes than a stethoscope during a budget cut. First off, migration isn't a referendum on one president's term and it's a global hustle. Indians, Chinese, Americans, heck, even Brits are scattered everywhere chasing opportunities, education, or just better weather. Those folks singing "On Your Mandate" might have left Nigeria years before Tinubu even sniffed the presidency, or maybe they're there on student visas, work permits, or family ties. Not everyone's exodus is a direct "Tinubu made me do it" sob story. By your reasoning, every expat waving their home flag abroad is a hypocrite. What, you think the Irish in Boston hate Ireland because they're not back in Dublin? And let's not skip the self own here, you're repping 🇬🇧 🇳🇬 yourself, Doc. If Nigeria's such a mess under Tinubu that supporters abroad are "idiots" for backing him, what's your excuse for chilling in the UK? Applying logic from a London flat while critiquing others for the same? Pot, meet kettle but both boiling with hypocrisy. If the mandate's that bad, pack your bags and lead the Obi revolution from Lagos. Or is the NHS too comfy to abandon? Look, supporting Obi is fine, critiquing government excess is your bio's whole vibe, but this take? It's like prescribing aspirin for a broken leg, I guess that feels good in the moment but doesn't fix the real issue. Nigeria's challenges predate Tinubu (and Obi, for that matter), and reducing it to "why you no dey Naija?" is just lazy Twitter bait. Next time, aim for that #5Solas precision instead of drive by insults. Stay healthy out there, doc, don't let the mandate fever get you.
OurFaveOnlineDoc 🇬🇧 🇳🇬@OurFavOnlineDoc

President Tinubu was welcome by Nigerians in UK, who are singing the "On Your Mandate" anthem. I only have one question for these rented idiots, who skipped their shifts for this show of shame, If his mandate was so glorious, What are you doing in uk???
