@mnulick78 @coachmeg22 Not sure why my 11yo is starting already and why they have practice on Labor Day weekend! My older one never started till after the holiday weekend! Actually irritates me!

Great question… things are definitely getting a little crazy out there. We just wrapped up our very first Fall practice after PGF Nationals. Essentially, we took about a month off. Some players used that time to fully rest and recharge, while I noticed a few others took the initiative to keep working on their own and tried to get a step ahead during that break. I think it all depends on the individual body. Some may need the down time and some need to grind.

I have questions for those travel ball (high school aged) softball athletes playing this weekend. Why aren’t you on a break? When do you take a break? How long is/was your break? Did you play all spring/summer & you’re still going? Burnout & overuse injuries are real guys. 👀 LMK
