@AWA_VRC it is wasting a ton of tokens on generating c#. i haven't played around yet with an mcp that exposes all kind of tools to interface with unity. waiting for them to release their official one, which is in closed beta rn

@sentfromspacevr pretty cool, but seems a bit wasteful for now. I'm guessing if it had a better context that it would be able to get to that result a lot quicker. But very cool seeing it work at all, especially as I know llms can have some issues with internal unity stuff.

i prompted codex "on alien work, create a puppet control to rotate a bone like an arm on desktop mode". here is the full video of codex trying to implement it. towards the end, i'm testing it and looking through what it generates. i assume you were imaging a 2d puppet control instead?

@sentfromspacevr How about making something to an avatar based on a youtube tutorial? Let's say you give it a youtube link to a video about creating a puppet control to rotate a bone like an arm on desktop mode, it can do that?

it's bad at generation animation for armature transforms. it doesn't really understand how forward kinematics propagate. for example, if you ask it to generate a animation pose, where the right hand touches the head. it will fail to position the hand correctly. but if you give the animations beforehand, it can generate the blendtress, or states with correct transitions for you. the animator claude/codex handle well. just need to tell it what you want

what if chatgpt could help you debug the frustrating and often confusing avatar upload/editing process? @sentfromspacevr created a unity to codex/claude/etc bridge! been playing with this for about a week now, so far created 4 personalized tools/scripts that help me manage my array of 9+ avatar variants effortlessly - sync changes between variants, setup a new variant based on a another, validate physbones and colliders are self referencing, etc. i'm using codex - it pairs incredibly as a unity assistant, and the MCP @sentfromspacevr has built brings an insane amount of capability and understanding into your project, allowing for almost any kind of debugging, utility, or assistance in Unity you can dream up. can't wait to see what comes from this!

I'm shutting down the Avatar Uploader on third3d dot com The other week I've had a meeting with members of the VRChat team. In there they've requested me to shutdown the avatar uploader, as it's in conflict with the VRChat's Creator Economy. VRChat is a closed platform with complete control on how their service can be used, I will have to oblige to their request. It's unfortunate that a service, that tries to makes things easier for the community, is being requested to be shutdown and I am sorry that I cannot fulfill this service anymore. Although I have to end the project that I've worked on for more than half a year, I'm thankful that members of the VRChat team reached out to me directly and I was able to ask questions and for clarifications. This experience didn't stop my motivation to create more avatar creation tools and I'm excited to announce my new project soon.
