@DouglasAdlerMD Did you do FNB first or referred to surgery without FNB since this lesion need to come anyways?

The two most exciting cases at #ValladoLive2025 were 🧲 EUS GJ conversion to Magnetic GJ 🧲 MCA (Magnetic compression anastomosis) to restore biliary tract continuity following a complete transection of the bile duct after a cholecystectomy 👏 Paul Yeaton and Sanjay Rajput

As a patriot, I am utterly confused. Earlier I boycotted China (no noodles, no Chinese Ganesha), then I stopped having Turkish baklava, next it was Maldives (I cancelled my holiday), then I went to the temple erected for Trump and embraced everything American. But as a loyalist, I’ve recently stopped going to McDonalds and drinking Coke. I’ve moved to Russian vodka and preparing for making TikTok reels. Current dilemma: Can I watch the upcoming Pakistan cricket game? - A confused desh bhakt

@docdhir @DrAshokGastro @drvishal82 Completely agree Dhir sir. It’s sad for science that people have to resort to SR and MA because there is no funding and or rewards for high quality RCTs. We mustn’t forget that best MA come from high quality original research.

Systematic reviews are good for the journal, and authors.. high citation.. hence they continue to get published. The problem is its a review, and hence depends on the studies included in analysis.. some of which are questionable and retrospective. I believe this is a shortcut where both the journal and authors are happy.. but the outcome is usually not always beneficial to science

One reason I learnt to do systematic reviews is that they do not need ethics, and with committed people in team no funding
Jonathan Segal@Jonathansegal85

@fgomollon All have value- esp if well conducted. We all want to gold standard RCTs but there isn’t enough funding, opportunity and time to continually do these. MAs don’t require ethics, governance, ( a university affiliation). They remain important to help some get runs on the board
