We then proceeded to Kampala Kolping Hotel for a High-Level Strategy Meeting on Alcohol Regulation Advocacy with our members and partners, alongside our visitors from @Sida . Themed, "Building a coordinated, multi-sector synergy to position alcohol regulation as a public health and development priority", we laid out commitments to action we will abide by as we pursue our ultimate goal. Attendees of this meeting included members from our Secretariat, our members (@UgGirlGuides , @uydelx , @UNAUGANDA , @serenity_ug , @HopeAndBeyondUg , @HomesFore, @UncdaUg ), our Board Members, @OPMUganda , @UgandaCancerIns , @unhco , @MinofHealthUG , @irc_uganda , among others.

As we celebrate women today, Serenity Centre is proud to join the world in acknowledging the powerful and dedicated women who have overcome addiction all over the world and remain at the forefront of the recovery processes in their roles as women and the backbone of family structures. This year (2026), in August, Serenity Centre will mark 25 years in service and through our work, we have observed that women face unique challenges in their recovery journey thus our celebratory theme will focus on "EMPOWERING & NATURING WOMEN TO OVERCOME ADDICTION” We join the world to celebrate this special gender!! #WomensDay2026 #MentalHealthAwareness #addiction
