Elon Musk @elonmusk on how to manage companies better:
“Spend less time on finance, spend less time in conference rooms, less time on PowerPoint, and more time just trying to make your product as amazing as possible. I think there might be too many MBAs running companies. There's the MBA-saition of America, which I think is maybe not that great. There should be more focus on the product, the service itself, less time on board meetings, less time on financials.”

Moussa Njoya, who attended the sessions of the National Commission for the General Counting of Votes, gives his report at the close of proceedings.
“As the work of the National Commission for the General Counting of Votes ended this morning around 3:30 a.m., I would like to make the following provisional clarifications:
1. It is true — there are drastic, indeed enormous, discrepancies between the figures mentioned in the minutes submitted to the Commission and those held by representatives of political parties.
Unfortunately, the comparison of the minutes was refused. The president of the commission, with the support of certain opposition members, argued that this body is not a first-level forum for post-electoral disputes, and that it should simply compile and adjust the figures transmitted by the presidents of the departmental supervision commissions.
This raises serious questions about the security and reliability of the minutes transmitted by those departmental commissions, and above all, about the role of the party and candidate representatives within this national commission — if not to allow verification and comparison so that the truth of the figures may emerge.
2. The PCRN representative, Mr. Nyemeck Félix, indeed had a significant number — in fact, the overwhelming majority — of the minutes in his possession.
He was the first to point out the huge discrepancy between the figures on his copies and those transmitted by the departmental commissions, especially in the South Region.
Unfortunately, after being harshly rebuked by the commission president, Emile Essombe, he quickly backed down — likely discouraged by the lack of support from other opposition representatives, who failed to stand by him during his confrontation with the president. Yet he was absolutely right!
3. Although he strongly supported the commission president and the RDPC throughout the sessions, Flambeau Ngayap, Secretary General of the UNDP, never called for the exclusion of the Makary polling station minutes.
On the contrary, he was the one who supervised the working group that rechecked, vote by vote, the results from the Makary municipality.
4. Contrary to claims made by some UNDP communicators, the FSNC representative, Mr. ISSA, did indeed have his minutes and encountered no issues during the calculations.
What made him leave the room were the results from the South-West Region, which he found simply outrageous!
Finally, for now, the most important thing is that we all already know that, regardless of what is said, there will indeed be two truths: the “official” truth on one hand, and the truth of the ballot box on the other!
In any case, what happens next will surely depend on the behavior of those who govern us.
It will largely depend on whether they have understood the people’s very clear message — or not!
To finally show humility and humanity, or to persist in arrogance and condescension — that is now their greatest challenge!
More to come shortly, God willing…”

The best board meetings I’ve been in had pre-reads that asked 2–3 sharp questions.
I used to think “more metrics = better deck.” What changed me was a founder who sent a simple 10-pager a week early with context, risks, and the one decision keeping her up at night like: This growth came from a new segment—double down or test one more?
The meeting was 90% useful because we weren’t guessing at what mattered. When a founder frames the decision, the board shows up to help, not grade.
