@RoosterCarr I feel so lucky to know you, Christian. Your life has been as beautiful as this duct tape art I bought from you last year; fittingly, you were making the world a better place by donating proceeds to social causes. You are a TREASURE; thank you for loving people so effortlessly.❤️

Israel’s bulldozers are wiping out civilian homes, tourist sites, and hotels in Naqoura, South Lebanon. Not military targets. South Lebanon is being erased — like Gaza before it. This is an American-backed, American-funded genocide.

What's happened in Lebanon over the past week is categorically worse than Oct 7 and if you say this most people will, at best, shrug or look at you like you're speaking another language

🚨🇪🇸 BREAKING: Spain just drew a line. Pedro Sánchez is calling on the EU to suspend its Association Agreement with Israel following the strikes on Lebanon. Not a statement. Not a suggestion. A demand. While the US plays ceasefire games, Spain is asking Europe to choose: trade or accountability. The rest of the EU will now have to answer. Silence is no longer an option.

The US told us that the Iranian government killed over 30k of their citizens during the January protest. Iran told us that they didn't kill Iranians but rather, it was the protesters that were killing people. Here the US is admitting to having sent guns to the protesters but it seemed like the guns didn't get to the protesters even though it did. So the protest was actually violent as the protesters were also armed, given the possibility of them killing people just like the evidence of Saleh Mohammadi killing two police officers. The US will fund terrorism in your region and when you hunt down the terrorists, they'll accuse you of murdering your people and use it as a pretext to invade you.

On Easter morning, this is what President Trump posted. Everyone in his administration that claims to be a Christian needs to fall on their knees and beg forgiveness from God and stop worshipping the President and intervene in Trump’s madness. I know all of you and him and he has gone insane, and all of you are complicit. I’m not defending Iran but let’s be honest about all of this. The Strait is closed because the US and Israel started the unprovoked war against Iran based on the same nuclear lies they’ve been telling for decades, that any moment Iran would develop a nuclear weapon. You know who has nuclear weapons? Israel. They are more than capable of defending themselves without the US having to fight their wars, kill innocent people and children, and pay for it. Trump threatening to bomb power plants and bridges hurts the Iranian people, the very people Trump claimed he was freeing. On Easter, of all days, we as Christians should be reminded that the son of God died and rose from the grave so that we can be forgiven once and for all of our sins. Jesus commanded us to love one another and forgive one another. Even our enemies. Our President is not a Christian and his words and actions should not be supported by Christians. Christians in the administration should be pursuing peace. Urging the President to make peace. Not escalating war that is hurting people. This NOT what we promised the American people when they overwhelmingly voted in 2024, I know, I was there more than most. This is not making America great again, this is evil.

It's incredible that Trump would admit to this because the "Iran killed peaceful protesters" narrative was pretty much the only moral fig leaf the pro-war camp could still hide behind. In effect he's confirming: "no, I assure you, my war is 100% indefensible. Zero moral basis whatsoever." It's also yet another immensely depressing illustration of the extent to which we're still all manipulated by the media. Which mainstream outlet, globally, questioned the "peaceful protesters" framing? The Iranian government kept saying this wasn't true, but which outlet even entertained the possibility they were telling the truth? Not one, as far as I could see: this was universally dismissed as Iranian propaganda. As is sadly almost always the case, the media just ran the US State Department script: the Iranian "regime" is massacring innocent civilians for wanting "freedom". The ridiculously cartoonish narrative that women just want to show their hair and get killed for that... Except we now have the President of the United States confirming that the protesters were in fact sent "a lot of guns," making them actual US-armed insurgents🤷 Hopefully it finally shames the media into doing the bare minimum, i.e. their actual job: treat Western government claims with the same skepticism they reflexively apply to official enemies. But I'm not holding my breath...

NEW: The United States sent guns to the Iranian protesters through the Kurds, President Trump told Fox News. "We sent guns to the protesters, a lot of them," President Trump told me. "And I think the Kurds took the guns."

🇺🇸 🇮🇱 🇮🇷 NYT: "The head of Mossad, Israel’s foreign intelligence service, went to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a plan.. Within days of the war’s beginning, said David Barnea, the Mossad chief, his service would likely be able to galvanize the Iranian opposition — igniting riots and other acts of rebellion that could even lead to the collapse of Iran’s government.. Mr. Barnea also presented the proposal to senior Trump administration officials during a visit to Washington in mid-January.. Mr. Netanyahu adopted the plan. Despite doubts about its viability among senior American officials and some officials in other Israeli intelligence agencies, both he and President Trump seemed to embrace an optimistic outlook.. Killing Iran’s leaders at the outset of the conflict, followed by a series of intelligence operations intended to encourage regime change, they thought, could lead to a mass uprising that might bring about a swift end to the war.. Three weeks into the war, an Iranian uprising has not yet materialized.. This account is based on interviews with more than a dozen current and former American, Israeli and other foreign officials, most of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss national security and intelligence issues during a war. The New York Times interviewed officials with a variety of views on the likelihood of an uprising.."

Here’s a thing I’ve noticed after years of watching people try and fail to make friends:   The ask fails because people make it too big.   “We should hang out sometime!” floats out into the air with nothing to grab onto and dies there.   Make it specific. Give it weight. Give it a time, a place, a reason.   “I loved what you said about [specific thing]. Want to grab coffee Tuesday at 10? There’s a spot I love on [street].”   Now there’s a door, and it’s easy to walk through or politely decline.   The specificity isn’t just practical.   It says: I actually thought about this. I actually want this. I care enough to put in some effort to make this happen. This isn’t a social pleasantry I’m lobbing your way, hoping neither of us has to follow through.   People feel the difference.

US-Israel have hit 20 schools and 10 hospitals and killed 400 children in less than a week, but US media continues to take for granted they only bomb civilians in “error.” As with Gaza, how many civilians do they have to snuff out before we can entertain the idea this is policy?
Al Jazeera English@AJEnglish

One week into the US-Israel war on Iran, more than 1,300 Iranians have been killed, with children accounting for 30% of the dead. US–Israeli strikes hit civilian sites, including at least 20 schools and 10 hospitals, according to UNICEF. Al Jazeera's Fintan Monaghan reports.

If this had happened in any Western city, the news would have run in newspapers and television channels round-the-clock for over a week, whipping up anger against the perpetrators. But since the murderers in this case are zionists and white americans, it has been reduced to just another unfortunate incident.

Imagine if Iran bombed Washington and killed students in schools, what would you call it? Terrorists The U.S. and Israel bombed Tehran and killed students in schools. Why do you call it a "pre-emptive strike"? Bombing a school is a war crime under international humanitarian law

> 70 years ago, Iran looked just like any Western country. > Short skirts, rock’n’roll, open universities. > It’s 1953. Iran elects a secular socialist: Mohammad Mossadegh. > He nationalizes oil. That pisses off BP. > Cold War excuse. > CIA and MI6 stage a coup. Operation Ajax. > Mossadegh is overthrown. > They install the Shah, a brutal US-backed dictator. > Secret police. Torture chambers. > Iran turns into a puppet state. > People are that desperate, they turn to Khomeini, an exiled cleric, promising independence and dignity. > 1979: Islamic Revolution. > The Shah flees. > US embassy stormed. Hostage crisis. > America never forgives. > Arms Saddam Hussein. > Iraq invades Iran. > US provides chemical weapons, satellite intel, logistics. > 1 million Iranians die. > Iranian kids sent into minefields with plastic keys around their necks. > US shoots down Iran Air Flight 655 > 290 civilians dead. > No apology. > Fast forward today, Israel attacks Iran. > The U.S. immediately says “we stand with Israel.” > They talk about “regime change.” > They say that Iranians “deserve freedom.” > No mention of the coup they started. > No mention of the dictator they installed. > No mention of the war they fueled. > No mention of the decades of sanctions and sabotage. > They created the monster, and now they attacked it because it was still breathing. > Watch who they try to put on the throne next. > The son of the Shah is already being presented as the “alternative.” > The same dynasty. > The same foreign backing. >The same promises of stability. > History will repeats itself. > And it’s not gonna end well.

Last year was the first time since 1935 that more people left America than moved in — and many are US citizens Some wild stats from 2025: • Americans moving to Ireland nearly doubled • More Americans moved to Germany than vice versa • 50,000 US-born Mexican-Americans left for Mexico • Americans applying for British citizenship hit an all-time high • Norway now has more US-born residents than the US has Norway-born residents • The number of Americans living in Portugal grew to 26,000 (overall +500% since Covid)

fundamentally believe the solution to the loneliness crisis is framed wrong it’s not just about making friends it’s about living a life where you feel the possibility of connection is all around you - smile at the barista - chat with a stranger in the grocery store line - text old friends - call your parents - find strangers to play volleyball with friendships can be transient - people move, people get busy, priorities change. make it so that you feel connected to humans no matter who specifically is in your life at that moment
