Simulations are the future, & one of the main tools we’ll ultimately use to understand and predict things about the universe. This is why I’m so excited about Genie 3, our latest interactive world simulator - here are some insanely cool things you might have missed about it 🧵:

As announced in partnership with @NVIDIA at CES, we’re excited to introduce Stable Point Aware 3D (SPAR3D), setting a new standard in 3D generation. Ideal for running on @NVIDIA RTX AI PCs, SPAR3D enables real-time editing and complete structure generation of 3D objects from a single image in under a second. You can download the weights on @HuggingFace and code on @GitHub, or access the model through the Stability AI API. Learn more here: bit.ly/4a6LNKe (1/3)

Dear Vision Pro critics, I completely understand why, when thinking about the Apple Vision Pro as a consumer product there’s a lot to criticise. As much as I love my Vision Pro, there’s no denying that the device has its flaws, especially given its hefty price tag. You’re essentially getting a classic first-generation product, hindered by its weight, high manufacturing cost, and the limited availability of content and apps. So, what are you really getting? I think, as always, it’s a matter of perspective. Instead of focusing on the tech specs and what’s on paper, let’s think about this differently. Consider this purchase not as a tech product, but as an admission ticket. A ticket to being one of the first to glimpse the future and explore the unique opportunities that come with it, such as: • Creating things no one has ever done before • Thinking about and solving problems no one has yet considered • Experiencing the fresh creativity of talented developers firsthand as this platform gets shaped now But most importantly: Be a part of a community filled with other forward-thinking people who are equally excited about this journey. When you realise what you're really getting this suddenly might be a lot more attractive purchase than what Apple is advertising. I often read predictions that there won’t be a second generation. While I don’t share that belief, I still wouldn’t regret purchasing my ticket—even if Apple were to cancel it tomorrow. The incredible people I’ve met, the lessons I’ve learned, and the fun I’ve had will always make it worthwhile—at least for me.
